The Last Dragon Rider, Errin Krystal

Trained as an elite warrior from childhood, the elven crown prince Flintathriël fights to bring a stop to a war that began before he was born. With the aid of his betrothed Sairalindë, a skilled mage and dragon rider in her own right, they must find the Book of Souls – an ancient and mysterious tome rumored to have belonged to the god Hath’Raal.

When the missing book turns up in the hands of Mnuvae, the bastard child of the dead king, Flintathriël finds himself fighting to not only save his people from this new threat but also trying to keep Sairalindë safe when Mnuvae takes over the dragons in her attempt to win back the kingdom she believes is rightfully hers.

The love Flintathriël and Sairalindë share shines pure and true, but when the smoke of the battle clears, will their hearts survive the aftermath of war or will their love become a casualty that cannot be revived?

The Last Dragon Rider is an epic fantasy tale that is full of heroic warriors, war and many battles, ancient dragons that will captivate you and magic… lots of incredible magic as well as so much more! It is a story that captivated me from the very first page due to its broad scope and perfect narration; it is the kind of story that is extremely hard to put down and if you (like me!) adore fantasy novels then you will fall in love with this epic fantasy tale; It would be impossible for you not too! Here is a little bit more about this enchanting book.

The Last Dragon Rider is an intriguing plot with an incredible, fascinating premise unlike anything I have read before. It’s story  features many incredible characters that are beyond lovable but it also features many evil ones that will feel you with rage. I also adored how this novel did not stick to one main plot but rather the plot took many different avenues and I adored that. However, at the heart of the story it is a story of magic, dragons and ancient gods. This is the essence of the book and that is all I really want to say about it! Like most fantasy novels, they are best read without knowing much about them and that certainly is the case with this incredible novel. It shocked and surprised me continuously and at some points the action was so intense that it stopped me in my tracks and shocked me with pure amazement! It truly is a thrilling read that captured my heart and left me shocked for days.

Recently I have really started to love the fantasy genre and this has been my go to read of late. Some fantasy novels in my opinion can be far too fetched but The Last Dragon Rider is not like that at all and it blends the perfect balance between fantasy and reality. Plus, it has dragons! I adore anything to do with mythology so when I read that this book had dragons I was sold!

Our story flows beautifully thanks to the incredible authors writing. Her writing truly instilled a sense of wonder and excitement in me and because of this I could not put this novel down. It is a storyline that hooks you from the very beginning and that is due to its engaging and thrilling plot. It truly is incredible!

To summarise my thoughts on The Last Dragon Rider I would say if you adore fantasy novels full of heart, dragons, magic and so much more then you will adore this novel! It is a swooping tale that will capture your heart and make you fall in love. This incredible novel gets Four Stars from me!
